·         WE LEARN TO TEACH “BY STUDY AND ALSO BY FAITH,” PART 1.

·      Prayer and pondering the scriptures help prepare us to receive the influence of the Holy Ghost.

Ø  1 Nephi 11:1

The scripture taught me the importance to ask for the Lord’s help through my prayers and to take times to ponder everything that we receive or study. We need to ask God that is this true or not. By the Spirit, we will know that this is true or not. We need to rely ourselves to God and to be worthy to receive Holy Ghost companionship.

Ø  Alma 5:46.

I learned that fasting and praying will help us to know all things. The Holy Ghost will come to our heart and testify that all things about the gospel that doubt in our heart are true. By the Spirit of revelation, we will receive guidance to be better person or better missionaries.

·      We must seek to obtain the word.

Ø  Doctrine and Covenants 11:21

I learned about we need to study the word of God first before we teach people about it. After we desire study through praying and pondering, the Spirit will help us in our teachings. We will have the Spirit in our heart and the word of God in our mind. That combination will bring people to believe in our teachings and bring people unto Christ.

Ø  Doctrine and Covenants 42:14

The Lord warned me to have the Spirit with me in all time. I need to pray with humble heart and with faith to ask for the Spirit companionship. If we do not feel the Spirit, we shall not teach people. Teaching with the Spirit is more efficient than teaching with our own knowledge.

·         TEACHING BY THE SPIRIT.

·         Personal preparation and worthiness are necessary to teach by the Spirit.

Ø  Alma 8: 10

Alma worked with the Spirit and asked for God’s help through his prayers. We wanted to share the Spirit to people in the city of Ammonihah. So he could bring them unto repentance through baptism. We learned from Alma that the Spirit has a big influence for him. The Spirit gave him strength, knowledge, and authority to preach the Gospel. It is important for us in our mission field to work with the Spirit and ask for God’s help through our prayers. So investigators will fell the Spirit; moreover they will repent and be baptized.

Ø  Doctrine and Covenants 11: 21-22

The scripture explained that we need to learn about the Gospel before we preach to people about it. Because of that, the Spirit will help us to preach the Gospel. It will helps us with the foreign language and also convince investigators to believe with the Gospel. First 22 explained about the Book of Mormon which is the word of God still being translated.

·         Missionaries can invite the Holy Ghost into their teaching.

Ø  Alma 5: 45-46

The scripture told us about we will know that the Gospel is true because of the Spirit. We need to invite the spirit by fasting and praying. After we know that the Gospel is true, we will teach confidently and full of Spirit. We will also have the spirit of revelation that helps us receive guidance from the Lord.

Ø  Doctrine and Covenants 100: 7-8

In the scripture, the Lord wants us preach the Gospel in His name, solemn heart, and humbleness. The Lord also promised us that the Holy Ghost will always on our side and bear records for all things that we say. If we are worthy to receive the Holy Ghost, the Holy Ghost will help us in our teachings.

Moses 6: 4-6

The scriptures talked about The Lord will bless His chosen people who call upon His name. They will blessed with a language that pure and clean. The Lord will give them the spirit of inspiration and with the language that they have, they will write a book that contained the creation of the world and about their genealogy. They will teach their children the same language that The Lord gave to them. We also can get the spirit of inspiration (revelation) by call upon the name of the Lord and be worthy to recieve the Spirit.
